Cancer Chemoprevention Program

The Cancer Chemoprevention Program is a nationwide collaborative effort headed by the Cancer Center, involving the National Cancer Institute and seven other comprehensive cancer centers. This program is tailored to the needs of people at high risk for developing cancer. Its goals are to treat cancer before it is ever detected, and thus, stop it from developing. Also, to make new forms of cancer therapy available to people who need it. Directed by Raymond Bergan, MD, the Cancer Chemoprevention Program brings together a multidisciplinary team of experts, who together can offer people at risk for cancer, the chance to participate in cutting-edge clinical research designed decrease their risk of developing cancer.
