Geriatric Oncology Consultation Service
The Geriatric Oncology Consultation Service was established to meet the special needs of seniors with cancer. This new service under the leadership of Dr. Herbert Sier, Geriatrician and Elizabeth Rochford, NP, is available to do geriatric evaluations consisting of assessing social supports, cognitive and functional ability, gait assessment, chronic medical conditions, medications, nutrition and financial concerns. It is expected that early intervention in these areas will improve patient outcomes.
