Joanie and Alan Stone

As a generous supporter of the Lurie Cancer Center, Alan Stone’s philanthropy is allowing Dr. Rosen to expand the valuable work of the Clinical Research Office (CRO). Under the direction of Dr. Timothy Kuzel, the CRO is responsible for the operation and oversight of clinical trials—innovative studies that introduce new treatment approaches and cutting-edge technology to cancer patients. Such support helps accomplish a major mandate and top priority of Dr. Rosen to conduct studies with cancer patients to discover whether promising approaches to cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment are safe and effective.

Also a member of the Lurie Cancer Center Advisory Board, Alan Stone’s dedication helps inspire the members of the Lurie Cancer Center in their efforts to advance medical knowledge and provide compassionate, state-of-the-art cancer care.
