Will a small gift make an impact?
Every gift makes a difference. The cumulative effect of several small gifts can be very significant. How can I take advantage of my company's Matching Gift Program?
You can double or further multiply the impact of a gift if you are an employee, retiree or board member of a corporation that matches gifts to qualified institutions. Contact your company's human resources or personnel office to learn about its matching gift program and to obtain a matching gift form. You should fill out the donor portion of the form and include the paperwork with your gift. The Cancer Center will fill out the recipient institution's portion of the form, verify receipt of the gift and then return the form to your company. Some companies have toll-free numbers or Web sites that you can use to register a gift to be matched. While a matching gift is not tax deductible for you, nor can it count toward a pledge payment, the match will count toward your overall giving level. |
