Jonathan Licht Elected to Executive Committee of the American Society of Hematology

Jonathan Licht, MD, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the world’s largest professional society concerned with the causes and treatment of blood disorders.

Licht, the Johanna Dobe Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, will begin his four-year term in January, 2013.  Licht is also the Associate Director for Clinical Sciences Research at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.

Dr. Licht’s areas of interest include epigenetics and aberrant gene expression in hematologic malignancies, including acute promyelocytic leukemia, large cell lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myeloproliferative neoplasms.
