Overview:

Spread the word--invite others to join the celebration!

Close to 4,000 people--cancer survivors, their family and friends, along with the physicians, scientists and health professionals who support them—will come together in Grant Park on Sunday, June 3rd, National Cancer Survivors Day.

A non-competitive walk along Chicago's lakefront, festivities for the family including a picnic, music, entertainment, t-shirt, and an opportunity to sign the Dedication Wall are just some of the things to look forward to at the Lurie Cancer Center's signature event. The celebration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the walk steps off at 8:30 a.m.

The Lurie Cancer Center supports the following concept from the National Coalition
for Cancer Survivorship: "from the moment of diagnosis through the balance of life, an individual diagnosed with cancer is a cancer survivor."
