Bluhm Family Breast Cancer Early Detection and Prevention Program
The Bluhm Family Breast Cancer Early Detection and Prevention Program offers comprehensive risk assessment and risk management for women concerned about breast cancer. Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, utilizing the resources of the Lynn Sage Comprehensive Breast Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Lifestyle changes, psychosocial support and information on current research related to prevention and early diagnosis are important aspects of the program. Women concerned about breast cancer risk receive a comprehensive Breast Cancer Risk Assessment as part of the program. Based on the results of the initial assessment, additional testing may be recommended. Upon completion of the full assessment, each woman receives an individualized plan for risk management, developed for her by the program physicians.
