Dr. Kiyokawa's research is focused on the roles of cell division cycle-regulatory genes in cancer initiation and progression, with an emphasis on breast, ovary and other endocrine-related tumors. To define the mechanisms of cancer development that are linked to organismal development, the laboratory takes a unique strategy that combines biochemistry, proteomics and mouse genetics.
