Julian Schink, MD, has extensive clinical research experience. He serves as the institutional Principal Investigator for the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) program at Northwestern with established affiliations with institutions in Israel and the United Kingdom. He has served as Study Chair on numerous GOG cooperative group clinical trials. Most recently, he has developed an international study for the GOG to compare treatment regimens for low-risk gestational trophoblastic disease. This new study will prospectively evaluate the effectiveness of two types of chemotherapy treatments and explore factors (i.e., social support, emotional issues) that may influence quality of life. His research interests also include improving care delivery processes and communication challenges. He has co-led cross-healthcare collaborative studies on personalized breast cancer care.
