Dr. Lulla is a physician/scientist. His research endeavors are centered in the Cancer Biology and Epigenomics Program at Children's Memorial Research Center under the direction of M. Bento Soares, PhD. He is interested in microRNAs in pediatric central nervous tumors, with a focus on using microRNA expression profiles in body fluids as biomarkers. His clinical efforts are exclusively in the care of children with brain and spinal cord tumors. He participates in institutional and collaborative group research studies investigating new agents for the treatment of recurrent or refractory brain tumors.
