Training Program in Clinical Oncology Research
Program Overview:
The Clinical Oncology Research Training Program of the Lurie Cancer Center offers two years
of mentored laboratory research training to complement the training of fellows enrolled in the Feinberg School of Medicine's
fellowship programs in adult or pediatric hematology/oncology. Both a basic science faculty member and a clinician supervise
fellows selected into this NCI-funded program. The curriculum includes:
- Laboratory research
- Clinical multidisciplinary conferences
- Coursework in cancer biology & writing
- Biweekly journal club in cancer research
- Career development sessions
- Annual research presentation
- Tumor Cell Biology Seminar Series
- Outpatient clinic one day per week
- Presentation at national meeting
