Lurie Cancer Center Multidisciplinary Head & Neck Symposium Registration Information

The Lurie Cancer Center Multidisciplinary Head & Neck Symposium is a two day interactive program on the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of head and neck cancer patients held on December 2-3, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois. The symposium brings together medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, otolaryngologists, head and neck surgeons, dentists, nurses and allied health professionals to discuss and debate the latest advances in multidisciplinary therapies, clinical research and supportive care methodology. The agenda features internationally-recognized experts who will engage attendees in dialogue to improve multi-specialty collaboration in the treatment and care of head and neck cancer patients.

The discounted fee is available through October 14, 2022.  After that date, the regular fee will apply.

Advance registration is encouraged, as space and materials are limited. The registration fee includes conference tuition, CME credits, materials, two breakfasts, two lunches, and refreshments during breaks.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel your participation in this conference, your registration fee less a $50 administrative fee, will be refunded when written notification is received by October 14, 2022. No refunds will be made after that date, however, you may transfer your registration to a colleague.

The target audience for this activity includes medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, fellows in training, oncology nurses, oral surgeons, dentists, speech pathologists and allied health professionals treating or interested in treating those with head and neck cancer.

  1. Apply a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of head and neck cancers
  2. Assess state-of-the art therapeutic options for the treatment of head and neck cancer, including:
    1. Minimally invasive surgical treatment, including robotic surgery and sentinel lymph node mapping
    2. Benefits and limitations of proton therapy in the treatment of head and neck cancer
    3. Incorporation of immunotherapy for treatment of advanced head and neck cancer
    4. Virtual surgical planning for reconstruction of surgical defects
  3. Discuss future directions in treatment of head and neck cancer based on the latest basic science and clinical developments, including:
    1. De-escalation of therapy in the management of oropharyngeal cancer
    2. Application of circulating tumor DNA as a biomarker for HPV-associated oropharynx cancer
    3. Molecular assessment of surgical margin
    4. Risk-stratification of head and neck cancer
    5. Advances in treatment of nasopharyngeal cancer
  4. Apply current treatment guidelines to patients with head and neck cancers
