Nisha Mohindra, MD, Named Director of Cancer Quality in the Lurie Cancer Center and Medical Director of Quality in the Division of Hematology/Oncology

Lurie Cancer Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Nisha Mohindra, MD, as Director, Cancer Quality in the Lurie Cancer Center and Medical Director of Quality in the Division of Hematology/Oncology.

The establishment of this physician leadership role reflects a unified approach to quality and clinical excellence across cancer care. In this role, Dr. Mohindra will bring together our inpatient, ambulatory and multidisciplinary oncology programs while partnering with clinical, nursing, operational, analytics and administrative leaders to advance quality and patient safety across the Cancer Center and Division of Hematology/Oncology.

Dr. Mohindra is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology and Medical Director of Inpatient Oncology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Her work will focus on developing and advancing oncology-specific quality measures and dashboards, identifying opportunities for performance improvement, strengthening evidence-based care pathways and clinical redesign, and supporting performance in accreditation, national quality measures, and public reporting.

As the Lurie Cancer Center continues to expand its programs, facilities and innovative models of care, Dr. Mohindra will also help ensure that quality, safety and the patient experience remain central to how we deliver cancer care.
