Lurie Cancer Center Scientists Among World’s Most Highly Cited

Ten members of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University are among the “world’s most influential scientific minds,” according to the prestigious Highly Cited Researchers (HCR) list published by the Institute for Scientific Information at Clarivate. These investigators have “demonstrated significant and broad influence in their chosen fields of research over the last decade, and their highly cited papers rank in the top 1% by citations for their field and publication year.

“Breakthrough science at Northwestern exerts a huge impact, creating the knowledge and approaches that change research disciplines,” said Lurie Cancer Center member Milan Mrksich, PhD, Vice President for Research at Northwestern University. “Publication is an important way that our faculty communicate their advances and make them available to researchers across the globe.”

“The Lurie Cancer Center has world-class biomedical research teams, whose work has a major impact in the fight against cancer” said Leonidas Platanias, MD, PhD, Director of the Lurie Cancer Center. “I congratulate our faculty for their exceptional efforts and highly innovative research.”
