Cancer-Focused Research
I am the Scientific Director of the Mouse Histology & Phenotyping Laboratory (MHPL) of Northwestern University. The MHPL is a core facility administered by the Lurie Cancer Center providing comprehensive and customized histopathology and molecular phenotyping services for Northwestern biomedical researchers working with various animal research models and not just rodents. I provide leadership and day-to-day guidance operations of the facility, and consultations related to histopathology and developmental biology. As histopathology is a vital tool in cancer research and diagnosis, the MHPL provides valuable and cost-effective services to cancer center investigators for the characterization of phenotypes and the pre-clinical evaluation of efficacy of novel therapeutic treatments.
