Cancer-Focused Research

Esther Yoon, PhD MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and a licensed clinical health psychologist with Lurie Cancer Center's Supportive Oncology. She completed her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Northwestern Feinberg, with an emphasis in behavioral medicine. She completed her postdoctoral training in psychosocial oncology at Rush University Medical Center providing both inpatient consultation-liaison and outpatient services for cancer patients, survivors and their caregivers. She specializes in working with older adults and patients with complex chronic illness, focusing on optimizing physical and psychosocial well-being along a patient's care continuum. Additionally, her research focuses on the intersections of digital health, health behaviors, and chronic illness management.
