Cancer-Focused Research
My research focuses on advancing the evidence base for cancer rehabilitation and survivorship, with an emphasis on understanding and improving functional outcomes across the cancer care continuum. My work has examined rehabilitation outcomes in patients with malignant brain tumors and other complex oncology populations, contributed to the development and validation of standardized patient-reported functional measures, and supported multicenter efforts to establish meaningful outcomes and core services for cancer rehabilitation. Increasingly, my research interests center on translating rehabilitation evidence into clinical practice through implementation science, including the development of scalable approaches to identify functional needs, measure outcomes, integrate exercise and rehabilitation into oncology care, and address the long-term and late effects of cancer treatment.
