Cancer-Focused Research

Dr. Maduram is a fellowship-trained breast radiologist and clinical investigator at the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Center in Prentice Women's Hospital. Her research interests lie in women's imaging, a dynamic field that encompasses the full spectrum of women's health and wellbeing, including breast screening, gynecological care, fertility workup, pregnancy, and menopause. For young women unexpectedly diagnosed with breast cancer, undergoing treatment is only the beginning; entering survivorship involves delving into research that will affect their quality of life and health milestones before and after cancer treatment. Radiologists can assess the complete picture, as they are among the first physicians to identify breast cancer and recommend follow-up for both breast and gynecological abnormalities. Dr. Maduram's radiology-focused research into the connections between breast and gynecological health, such as pregnancy-associated breast cancer, can provide profound insights into healthcare challenges that affect women.
