Cancer-Focused Research

Dr. Kyriacou is Professor of Emergency Medicine and Preventive Medicine (Epidemiology) at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Attending Physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. His medical degree is from the University of Michigan Medical School and his specialty training was in emergency medicine at the Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center. He also has a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in epidemiology from the UCLA School of Public Health. Dr. Kyriacou’s research interests include oncologic emergencies and health services. He has several research and review publications in high impact oncology journals (including a recent publication as senior author in CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians) and multiple methodology reviews for the Journal of the American Medical Association. In addition, Dr. Kyriacou has served as senior editor and associate editor for the Journal of the American Medical Association since 2016.
