Cancer-Focused Research
Dr. Haney is a biomedical engineer and has been working on multi-modality imaging for over a decade. Previous research, with multiple collaborators, involved attempting to identify a signature for successful treatment of a novel anti-vascular treatment using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Imaging (EPRI). He has developed a method to use histology and image registration to determine the accuracy of these imaging biomarkers. In a similar project, Dynamic Contrast Enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) was used to assess the response to an anti-angiogenic drug. Both projects are being used to develop new DCE-MRI analysis methods.
