Cancer-Focused Research
Our group is interested in studying the molecular and cellular mechanisms regulating mitochondrial function and metabolism in neurodevelopment and tumorigenesis. We are particularly interested in the interplay between metabolites and epigenetic epitranscriptomic modifications including RNA and DNA methylation, as well as mitochondrial oxidant defense in aging. We use the mouse, zebrafish, and human iPS cell as model systems.
