Breast Cancer OncoSET
No two people are alike. The same is true for breast cancer. Groundbreaking advances in molecular analysis technologies have opened the door for individually targeted cancer care based on the unique features of a patient’s tumors.
A major donation from the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation established the Breast OncoSET program, an extension of Lurie Cancer Center’s OncoSET (Sequence, Evaluate, Treat) precision medicine program.
The ability to identify and evaluate breast cancer biomarkers such as estrogen receptors and HER2 expression enables our physicians to make informed and highly precise treatment decisions for each patient, including those with metastatic cancer that have become resistant to treatment.
